Hanukkah is celebrated from Sunday, November 28 through Monday, December 6. It is the eight-day festival that marks the victory of Jewish forces over the ancient Assyrians and the rededication of the Temple in Jerusalem. The Jewish people fought for religious freedom and were able to throw off the yoke of their oppressors.
